Why the Mudita Kompakt

A phone built for focus.

The Kompakt's E-Ink display reads like paper. Nothing tugs at your attention. It was one of the rare devices whose whole philosophy agrees with how scripture should be treated.

No blue light. Read it like a book in daylight, or by lamp at night.
Days of battery, so the muṣḥaf in your pocket remains accessible.
One toggle of the side key turns on Offline+, silencing cellular activities completely. No calls and no messages for a truly undisturbed reading.

Version 0.2 · early release · Windows installer (.exe)

This is a developer build that should be installed over USB, not from the Play Store, so there are no automatic updates; new versions are announced here.

It has not been through Google's review and is signed with a development key. The app makes no network calls, keeps no account and no analytics; only your bookmark and last viewed page is saved locally on your device.

This is a personal project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Mudita or the makers of the Kompakt. It is free, and I earn no revenue from it, from you or from anyone. I built it for my own benefit and share it with anyone who finds it useful.
